Note To Self

 "I'm in pain..."

"I know everything will be ok..."

Sick Mode: Asthma

My battle with Asthma has come to a point that I refused to be confined despite doctors repeated reminder that the wheezing is still evident even after repeated Nebs. In the end, they asked me to sign the waiver that I was advise to be admitted but I refused to.

I have been in and out of the hospitals for many years now because of my Asthma, this is something that I am not proud of but I think during those times that I was admitted the medicines that they've been sucking into body I have learned especially the ones that I know that'll gives me a big relief during my time of crisis. So I decided to dig on the receipts of my hospitalization last year and asked my mom to buy me the meds that I know will save me from getting admitted.

Two days after my refusal to be admitted, I am still experiencing attacks but the pain cools down. If you think that I am taking those meds without prescription nope, I asked the in tern on duty and the doctor to give me a prescription so I will know when and what time I should take those meds. Although, I admit the they didn't prescribe meds like Omeprazole which helps me treat my acid reflux, difficulty in breathing. Prednisone on other hand is a steroid which helps me treat my asthma but I don't think it's working for me so I asked my mom to buy Medrol.

I don't want to be on leave for 3-4 weeks. I have workloads and have a lot of things to do. I have people counting on me. I can't afford to miss work. But then again I can't afford to lose my life so i'm focusing on my health first.

Help me Lord. I need to get better asap.

Honestly, My hospitalization last year was the worst of all the cases I have experience in my entire life and my worry is that..what's next? I don't want to die.

I promised my team that I will get better soon, their text message inspired me to heal faster, I have people counting on me so I have to get better ASAP.

*Caution to everyone, don't buy OTC meds. Make sure you visit your doctor first and follow his prescribed meds for your condition.

Ticket to Lottery

Reposting an old blog that I created last June 2004.

REFLECTIONS: "MY OWN TICKET TO LOTTERY"

My reflection for today is about an article in English Proficiency entitled "My Fathers Instruction for life". Well, the booklet that Adam have was somewhat the same to my own instruction for life, the only difference was I have those inspiring words written in a bigger cardboard with my goals and put it in my mirror dashed with colorful crayons "all by myself". No mother, no father or even a friend did not gave me an idea about that cardboard.

Same as Adam, the instruction for life did help me in every way to focus on my goals. I remember before I go to bed I make it a point to at least read those instruction for life together with my goals for this or that month. And when I wake up the first thing that I do was to stare at the mirror and read those inspiring words, and then I say to myself many times; "Only the strong, the brave, and the wise
shall survive".

The moment of truth tested my foundation when a mind-
bugling "opportunity" came. I had to stop going to college because of financial difficulties and emotional distress that I was into. I had no outlet at that time; I have no friends, no one. Not even my family could understand what I was going into.

Then I remember the inspiring words and my goals written in the
mirror. It hit me! It hit me in a way that the words were telling me something—that I should never give up, no matter how rough the road is, that I should cling on to my faith, and to stand in my
goals, "Even if I'm alone"

It took me 3 years to fulfill a reality that I almost given up.
During those 3 years, All I have is my faith. I never listen to
other people's hearsay, I hold on to my faith that "Someday God will give me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams". A simple dream for others but for me, a precious one that I've always wanted. To continue my college life. And now i'm living my dream.

I take this opportunity to thank the 3 persons that molded me as who and what I am now; 1> Ally Mcbeal, Her inspiring faith, and her whimsical outlook mixed with emotional toast in love, life, and the "it" thing (laughs!) inspired me to hold on tighter to my faith no matter what. To my special someone, YOU know who you are and I thank you for the unconditional love that no one ever dared to offer. I promise to live up with my faith and love with you to the last dying days of my life. D.R.E.J

And to you my Lord God for giving me the strength, the wisdom,
and the courage to never give up with what I believe, with my faith. You are my light my Lord, all the times my Lord I need you to stay.

I'm sorry for the moments that I hated you, I'm sorry for the
moments that I never think of you. I WAS WRONG. When I have no one to listen to my grief, you were there. When I have no one to
understand my decisions, you were there, And when I have no one to carry my cross, you carried it for me. I Love you Lord God.

I am not a perfect person. I admit I still do and commit mistakes. And I am sorry for that. But one things for sure, The faith, the hope, and the love for myself, for my dreams, for my someone, and for my God is still with me. You may lost everything and even everyone that you have right now-but NEVER your Faith, Hope and Love. Don't let go of these 3. It is your ticket to lottery.

It may take a while but for as long as you cling and hold on to your ticket, it will come pretty soon. Trust me! God works in mysterious ways!
